Every account was on full Pro for free while Stele was finding its feet. That period ends on the date in the email you were sent, and accounts without a subscription move to the Free plan.
Nothing is deleted at any point. Not a capture, not a byte, not a space. Everything below is about what you can do next, never about what is still there.
Your captures stay, in full
Free holds 60 captures. If you have more than that, all of them stay, they stay searchable, and you can open, edit, export and delete any of them.
The only thing that changes is new ones: capture past the limit and Stele refuses that capture and tells you the number. Delete something, or subscribe, and capturing works again.
Storage over the quota is untouched
Free includes 2 GB. An account holding more than that becomes read-only: your work is all there and all readable, but writes are refused until it fits or you subscribe.
To get back under it, delete captures you do not want, starting with recordings and full-page captures, which are the large ones. Deleted blocks free their bytes once the undo window passes.
Nothing reclaims space on your behalf, and nothing ever will. Stele does not delete your content to make it fit a plan.
Spaces
Free includes 1 personal space. If you own more, the one you had set as your default stays writable and the rest become view-only.
A view-only space keeps everything in it. You can open it, search it and read it; you cannot add to it or change it.
Subscribing turns them back on by itself. There is no repair step, no import, and nothing to reassemble.
Code stays free
Every capture still copies and downloads as React, HTML and Tailwind, and the inspector, design tokens and accessibility audit work the same on every plan. Prompts and code AI already wrote for you stay too.

If you were here during the free period
You are a founding member, and checkout carries your rate automatically. There is no code to type: open Settings → Billing and it is already applied.
