A review link is a read-only page of one saved capture. Save an edited page from the inspector, get a link, and send it: whoever opens it sees the page as you changed it, with no account and no install.
- Before and after, when the page was saved with edits. Hold B to peek at the before.
- Desktop, tablet and mobile widths. The page keeps its own media queries, so it reflows the way the real site does.
- The list of changes, grouped by element.
Getting a link
In the extension, choose Get link on the confirmation after you save a page. The link is copied for you.
In the app, right-click a capture and choose Get link. The dialog shows the link, when it expires, how often it was opened, and a button to revoke it.
Asking for a link on a capture that already has one gives you the same link again.
Who can see it
Anyone with the link can see the page, so treat it like the page itself. Form values are removed when a page is captured, but anything else on the page is in the link.
- Scripts never run on a review link, so anything a page draws with code shows as it was captured.
- Search engines are told not to index it, and it sends no referrer.
- The page never names who shared it.
Limits and revoking
Free includes one live review link, open for 7 days. Pro has unlimited links that never expire.
Revoke a link from its dialog in the app. It stops working at once and shows "This link was turned off". An expired link shows "This link expired" and no longer counts toward your limit.
Deleting the capture turns its links off too.
Reporting a page
Every review link has Report this page at the bottom. If a link shows your content without permission, report it there or write to legal@stele.so, and we can turn it off.
